Travel Notes Online is produced and edited by Gilda Caudron, owner of Gilt-Edge Luxury Tours and Travel (www.giltours.com)  based in Arlington, Virginia, providing travel services for clients since 1997. In addition to her love of travel, she enjoys writing. In producing Travel Notes Online she is combining two consuming interests in a new venue.

Gilt-Edge Luxury Tours and Travel has been featured in a variety of travel magazines and newspapers such as the Washington Post, New York City Times Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Boston Herald, Group Tour Magazine, The Educated Traveler, as well as the BBC London Radio News and has also been profiled by members of the British Press Association. In creating Travel Notes Online Gilda states: "I wanted to open up doors for all those people out there who feel the urge to write about their travel experiences and weren't interested in creating a blog, or if they do have a blog, in expanding their audience. Travel Notes Online doesn't have to be about  a grand journey such as traveling to Tibet or visiting the Pyramids. It can be as simple as going somewhere you have never been before, such as hiking in your local state park, and writing your impressions. Or perhaps writing about  a place you love to go on a frequent basis and wanting to share the reasons that keep drawing you back.
